Avene Clenance Gel Review

My Experience:

I was using Sebamed Cleansing Foam in morning and I was looking for some non -comedogenic cleanser for night time that will not only cleanse the face well but also doesn't make skin dry. Sebamed cleansing foam is a very good cleanser but doesn't cleanse the face well. So I short-listed couple of cleansers with the help of DJ:)

From this list, I decided to go for Avene Cleanance gel because it is non-comedogenic, I was using Triacneal (acne cream from Avene) during night time so this gel and Triacneal would be a good pair. This gel really helps to keep blemishes away and regulate oil production. Good thing is that it is sulphate free. It's gentle and cleans well, leaving my skin soft and moisturized. You need only one or two drops to make you skin feel so clean. It's a green liquid that comes out and smells Very nice, only a little bit takes to lather up in your hand, which is good. The only problem is it is expensive (As usual like other Avene products). It cost me around 1100 Rs. But this 200 ml bottle will last for 3-4 months.

Pros:

  • It is Hypoallergenic which means it suitable for sensitive skin.
  • It is a Non-comedogenic and gentle cleanser.
  • It is Soap free cleanser which does not contains the usual foaming gents like sodium lauryl/ laureth sulphate(SLS).
  • Skin feels soft after cleansing.
  • It helps control acne.
  • It is a gel cleanser with very pleasant smell.
  • It Cleanses well and doesn't make skin dry.
  • It Comes in a very good tight bottle. Packaging is very good.
  • It is paraben-free.

Cons:

  • Avene products are expensive.
  • Availability is an issue.
  • There are mildly comedogenic ingredients so unless skin is high acne prone skin, shouldn't be a problem.

Availability:

Avene is imported in India by Abott HealthCare. Easy Availability is an issue as stated before. It is available in reputed beauty outlets like Skin Store and some pharmacies.

It is also available online from sites like:
1)nykaa.com
2)medplusbeauty.com
3)vibeforall.com
4)theskinstore.in
5)purplle.com

My Rating: 4.5 / 5 (deducting 0.5 rating for price)  :)
